Accountability Monday: March 28, 2016

Well hello there friends! It feels like ages since I've posted though, in reality, it's only been a week and a half. Lately, my life has been very... full.

It looks something like this: March/April are the busiest months of the year at my work- think 50-60 hours per week including regular nights and weekends. I'm leading two Weight Watchers meetings on Monday and Thursday nights so I don't get home until 7:30 pm. There are only eight weeks left until Matthew and I get married so our weekends and other "free" nights are filled with meetings with our vendors, fittings for gowns/suits, writing our vows, creating a seating chart, wrapping wedding party gifts, planning our wedding day 5k, etc.

So yeah, life's felt a little hectic lately.

When there's a lot going on in my life, some things inevitably fall to the bottom of the priority list. Unfortunately, it seems like training and blogging have been the casualty of my busy schedule. Yuck. I hate even writing that sentence :-/

I love running. I love training. And I love blogging. I'm not willing to give any of those up permanently. But, I might have to temporarily adjust the frequency based on the other super-exciting things happening in my life.

So what does that mean for this space? I'll still post as often as I can though there may not be an "Accountability Monday" each week. Race recaps and reviews will still happen- I've got a Shamrock post in the pipeline and still have a few races on the schedule between now and the wedding/honeymoon. While I might not be posting here as often over the next eight- ten weeks, I'll still be micro-blogging/posting on instagram a few times a week so if you're not already following me there, please do!

Here's my last week, in typical "Accountability Monday" form!

Training:
Saturday- 2.86 miles, 11:07 pace. 45 minutes hiking with my family.
Sunday- Strength training circuit including squats, lunges, and glute bridges.

Rule-breaker hiker.

Food Find of the Week:
In a recent Weight Watchers cookbook (the one that comes in the Starter Kit), I found a recipe for overnight oats that includes a mix of dried fruit, fresh fruit, cinnamon-vanilla soy milk, and pecans- so good! I even made them in a mason jar for the full, pinterest-worthy effect. :-)

Mine looked almost as good as that picture.

Weight:
147.4 as of 3/24/16.

Non-Scale Victory:
With my bridal shower rapidly approaching, I went shopping for a dress this weekend and ended up with a beautiful, cream sleeveless dress with a navy and light blue flower pattern that makes me feel confident and gorgeous. It's kinda awesome to feel confident and pretty in a light-colored dress :-)

And your fun fact for the week? Five years ago today, I met Matthew and my life changed for the better in so many profound ways. Five years down, a lifetime to go. Happy "day-we-met" anniversary, Matthew! :-)

This dude makes my heart super happy.
